Dialogue with the Anglican churches

The dialogue between the Leuenberg Church Fellowship and the churches participating in the Meissen Declaration and the Porvoo Declaration began in 1995 at Liebfrauenberg in Alsace. The aim of these conversations was to illuminate agreements and differences between the two sides and to consider the question of further collaboration between the churches in Europe. The conversations were summed up in Volume 4 of the "Leuenberger Texts" and made available to the public. The dialogue with the Anglican churches was continued in 2004 with a consultation which was supplemented with a further meeting in October 2005. This was about fundamental questions of ecclesiology. A press release documents the 2004 meeting.
